Indie adventure title Kena: Bridge of Spirits is set to receive a sequel. Kena: Scars of Kosmora is scheduled to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5 and PC.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits marked the first game from Ember Lab, a studio known for its animation work before venturing into game development. The original game was a standout success in 2021, earning accolades for both Best Independent Game and Best Debut Game. The sequel was announced during February’s PlayStation State of Play.

The debut trailer for Kena: Scars of Kosmora didn’t reveal many surprises, maintaining the stunning animation style and continuing the adventure in a vibrant world filled with creatures and the charming Rot, who were beloved companions in the first game.

Some insights from Ember Lab developers after the trailer provided a glimpse into what to expect. They promise “deeper, more dynamic combat” and a “larger, richer world,” hinting at a more expansive open-world experience this time around.
