In Avowed, fast travel is your best friend for navigating the expansive map quickly. It’s particularly useful when you’re hopping between different areas to uncover secrets, gather loot, collect crafting materials, and find totem pieces. Certain quests will require you to traverse various regions frequently, so reducing travel time can really enhance your experience. The best part? It’s free to use, but you’ll need to locate the beacons yourself. Here’s everything you need to know about setting up and utilizing fast travel in Avowed.

To unlock fast travel points, simply approach a Fast Travel Beacon to activate it automatically. Just discovering these beacons is enough to add them to your map. They appear as ornate braziers with a pink flame on top, and you’ll receive an on-screen notification along with an audio cue when you’re close enough to activate one permanently.

Additionally, every Avowed Party Camp serves as a fast travel point, giving you even more options for quick navigation.

To use fast travel in Avowed, open your map and hover over one of the Fast Travel Beacons or Party Camps you’ve unlocked. Once highlighted, a ‘Travel Here’ prompt will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click it and confirm the ‘Fast Travel’ message to teleport to your selected location.

While you can use fast travel almost anywhere at any time, there are moments when it’s temporarily disabled, typically when you’re in a dungeon or a critical part of the main quest. During these times, a Fast Travel Beacon icon with a cross will show up next to the compass in the top-left corner of your screen. When you see this, you’ll need to continue on foot until you complete the current quest or exit the dungeon.
