The next Fortnite live event is just around the corner, with the in-game countdown ticking down to the start of the OG Ice Storm. Longtime players may recall the original Ice Storm event from 2019, when the Ice King emerged from his frozen sphere to blanket the island in snow, and it seems we’re in for a similar spectacle. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming Fortnite live event.

The event is set for Sunday, February 15, 2026, as confirmed by observant players who spotted it on the Love and Legends promotional image. A recent announcement has also revealed a start time of 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST / 7 PM GMT, so be sure to log in at least 40 minutes early to secure your spot in the lobby.

While Epic has kept the details of this live event under wraps, it’s expected to mirror the original Ice Storm event from 2019. Back then, an icy sphere above Polar Peak exploded to unveil the Ice King, who then cast a snowy spell over the map. Currently, in Fortnite OG, a similar frozen sphere hovers over a melting Polar Peak, and Weather Warnings are being broadcast on TVs across the island, hinting at the approaching storm.

Expect the Ice King to make his grand entrance during the Ice Storm on February 15, but for all the surprises, you’ll need to log in and experience the live event firsthand.
