Boston Selected as Official Host City for RLCS Major 2026

International tournament organizer BLAST has announced a new partnership with Meet Boston, designating them as the “official destination partner” for the upcoming Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2026 Boston Major.

The financial details of this agreement remain undisclosed.

As part of the partnership, Meet Boston will be featured in event broadcasts and will enjoy significant digital and physical branding, including in-broadcast ads, printed backdrops, and sponsored areas on-site.

The RLCS Boston Major marks the first arena event of the 2026 competitive season, showcasing 16 of the top Rocket League teams from around the globe, all vying for a share of a $354,000 USD prize pool and valuable league ranking points.

Scheduled for February 19-22 at the Agganis Arena on the Boston University campus, this four-day event will include two days of live arena competition. BLAST has confirmed that the Major will feature four North American teams.

“We are thrilled to once again work with BLAST to host the RLCS 2026 Boston Major, which will be the first Major of the new season,” said Meet Boston President & CEO Martha J. Sheridan. “BLAST esports events captivate a global audience, driving worldwide viewership along with critical out-of-state visitation and overnight stays. Boston has a proven track record of executing esports events seamlessly and successfully, including previous Major events at Agganis Arena. We are excited to grow our partnership with BLAST to include a comprehensive array of integrated marketing and broadcast opportunities.”

Tickets for the competition are still available through Ticketmaster.

For those unfamiliar, Meet Boston is the primary private sector marketing and visitor services organization responsible for developing meetings, conventions, and tourism-related business in the city. More information about their work in promoting tourism and events can be found on their website.
