Initially, the developers mentioned that romance options would be limited to ensure a balanced experience. While you won’t be able to cozy up to your party members during your adventure through the Living Lands, there is one romance you can pursue that unfolds in the epilogue. Here’s how to initiate a romance in Avowed.

Romance in Avowed isn’t traditional; while you can flirt with various companions through dialogue, nothing substantial develops during your journey. However, you can establish a romance with Kai at the end of your adventure. Here’s how to make it happen:

Keep in mind that your character’s body type and identifier, chosen during character creation along with your background and attributes, do not influence this romance opportunity with Kai. If you follow the necessary steps, Kai will express that he shares your feelings, and if you both feel the same after your journey, you’ll see where it leads.

Complete the story, and during the epilogue, an additional screen will confirm the romance that blossoms between Kai and your character. While this may not be an extensive romance, at least you’ll have a happy ending together!
