After a brief and underwhelming run in theaters, the AI thriller featuring Marvel star Chris Pratt and Dune’s Rebecca Ferguson is set to hit digital platforms.

Following just 25 days in theaters, Mercy will be available for digital purchase starting February 17, 2026. Currently, it can be pre-ordered on Prime Video, though the exact VOD release date has yet to be confirmed.

Mercy premiered on January 23, receiving largely negative reviews, with critics labeling it “chaotically directed” and “utterly disposable.” Upon its release, the film earned Pratt one of his lowest Rotten Tomatoes scores at 18%, though it has since climbed to 24%.

The film struggled at the box office as well, grossing $52.7 million against a $60 million budget. Let’s hope Pratt’s next project in 2026, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, fares better.

Set in a dystopian future, Mercy features Pratt as a detective wrongfully accused of murdering his wife, racing against time to prove his innocence to an AI judge (Ferguson) within 90 minutes. The film cleverly incorporates a countdown timer throughout its runtime. Directed by Timur Bekmambetov and penned by Marco van Belle, it promises a unique viewing experience.

When Mercy becomes available on video on demand, expect it to be accessible on various digital platforms like Apple TV, Prime Video, and YouTube. It’s anticipated that the film will eventually stream on Prime Video as part of its subscription service.
