2026 has already been a fantastic year for horror, and it’s about to get even more intense with the upcoming slasher Psycho Killer. A new clip hints at the thrilling experience awaiting us.

In the recently released snippet of Psycho Killer, shared by 20th Century Studios, Barbarian star Georgina Campbell investigates a grim motel room, uncovering some unsettling clues. Just as she approaches the bathroom with her weapon ready, the masked killer leaps out, giving us a taste of the jump scares we can expect in this chilling thriller.

Psycho Killer follows Campbell as a Kansas highway patrol officer on the trail of the murderer responsible for her husband’s brutal death. As her pursuit unfolds, she discovers that the man behind the killings is a sadistic serial killer, whose twisted mind and sinister plans are more horrifying than she ever imagined.

Written by Andrew Kevin Walker, known for his work on David Fincher’s iconic 1995 film Se7en, the dark tone of Psycho Killer is reminiscent of that classic, which also delves into the psyche of a deranged murderer.

There’s also a hint of The Silence of the Lambs in the film, as Campbell’s tense search for the killer in the dimly lit hotel room echoes Jodie Foster’s desperate hunt for Buffalo Bill in the 1991 thriller.

Psycho Killer features James Preston Rogers as the antagonist, alongside Grace Dove, Logan Miller, and Malcolm McDowell, with direction by Gavin Polone.

Psycho Killer hits theaters on February 20.
