March 9, 2026: With the new map now live, we’ve compiled the locations of Outpost DCONs below.
Marathon can be a bit tricky when it comes to explaining its various systems and mechanics. One challenge you’ll face early on is finding DCONs, which you’ll need to locate and interact with before you get a proper introduction—often while racing against the clock. Knowing where to find DCONs in advance can save you a lot of trouble.
Below, I’ll outline all the locations where you can find DCONs and their specific uses. This information will be particularly useful for the early Equitable Distribution priority contract for Traxus, as well as some repeatable contracts for other factions, like Spark/Ignite 1 for MIDA.
DCONs are terminals equipped with antennae, situated either outside or on the rooftops of certain buildings across the maps. Here, you can deposit items for various contracts. When you need a DCON during a quest, they should appear on your map marked with a unique crate icon, although some players have reported bugs with this feature.
Here are the DCON locations on each map:
Head to any of these DCON spots and interact with them to access the terminal’s inventory. For contracts that require using these machines, you can transfer quest items into the terminal’s inventory, which will then be sent off into space once you close the menu.
Unfortunately, these DCON terminals don’t allow you to safely send items back to your vault mid-match, like a supercharged safe pocket, though that would be a neat feature!
