Celebrate Mario Day with discounts on Super Mario games, featuring the first price drop for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Nintendo is throwing a celebration for “Mario Day” on March 10, and it’s not just about new Virtual Boy games for Nintendo Switch Online. As part of the festivities, select Mario titles for both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 will see discounts at the Nintendo eShop and various retailers.

Among the featured games are fan favorites like Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury and Super Mario Odyssey, both of which have significantly influenced Illumination’s upcoming The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Additionally, Mario Day marks the debut sale of the first Switch 2 title: Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV.

From March 8-14, physical copies of these games and more will be available at select retailers, including Nintendo’s U.S. stores and the My Nintendo Store. If you’re interested in digital versions, discounts are already active at the My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop, but keep in mind that these deals will end on March 15 at 11:59 p.m. PST.

While some of the latest titles like Donkey Kong Bananza and Super Mario Bros. Wonder aren’t part of the sale, the games included are among the best. For instance, Super Mario Odyssey ranked No. 3 on the Games of the Year list in 2017. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury offers a refined experience of a Wii U co-op platformer, featuring an exciting open-world twist on 3D Mario gameplay. Plus, Super Mario RPG and Mario vs. Donkey Kong provide a chance to enjoy classic titles from the Super NES and Game Boy Advance eras on modern systems.
