BGIS 2026 Grand Finale to Take Place in Chennai as KRAFTON India Reveals LAN Finals Venue
KRAFTON India has officially confirmed that the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2026 Grand Finals will be held at the Chennai Trade Centre from March 27 to March 29. The announcement marks a major milestone in the tournament’s fifth edition as the competition moves toward its final stage after months of nationwide qualifiers.
The BGIS tournament remains one of the most important esports events in India’s BGMI competitive ecosystem, bringing together top teams from across the country to battle for the championship title in a live LAN environment.
Group Draw Livestream to Decide Team Placement
Before the LAN finals take place, KRAFTON India will host a Group Draw livestream on February 25 at 7 PM, where the matchups for the upcoming stages will be revealed. Fans will be able to watch the broadcast live on the KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel.
This year introduces a new rank-based group allocation system. Instead of drawing team names directly, ranks earned by teams in earlier stages will be randomly assigned to Groups A, B, and C. After the Quarterfinals conclude, teams will be placed into groups based on their secured rank. This format ensures that performance in earlier rounds directly influences the group stage lineup.
Chennai Selected as Host City for the LAN Finals
KRAFTON India chose Chennai as the host city due to its growing reputation as a hub for gaming, technology events, and large-scale entertainment gatherings. The Chennai Trade Centre is expected to provide the infrastructure required for a high-profile esports event with a live audience.
Hosting the finals in Chennai also reflects KRAFTON’s broader strategy to expand offline esports experiences across different regions of India while allowing fans to witness major competitive moments in person.
Swiggy Scenes Named Official Ticketing Partner
To make it easier for fans to attend the event, Swiggy Scenes has been announced as the official ticketing partner for the BGIS 2026 LAN Finals. Through this partnership, fans will be able to discover the event and purchase tickets through a streamlined platform.
In addition, KRAFTON India has strengthened its anti-cheat measures for BGIS 2026 as part of its ongoing commitment to maintaining fair competition throughout the tournament.
With the Group Draw approaching and the LAN Finals scheduled for late March, BGIS 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest BGMI esports spectacles of the year, bringing together India’s best teams and passionate fans under one roof.
