Wolves Esports Teams Up with Luna Esports for ePremier League Collaboration
Wolves Esports has teamed up with Luna Esports to take on the ePremier League in the UK for EA Sports FC, as announced on Friday.
Details regarding financial arrangements were not revealed.
Representing Wolves are Diogo “Diogo” Mendes and Goncalo “RastaArtur” Pinto, both of whom are part of Luna Esports, the Portuguese esports organization established by footballer Diogo Jota in 2020. Initially called Diogo Jota Esports, the organization underwent a rebranding to Luna Esports in 2023.
“I’m thrilled to make my debut in the ePL this season,” Pinto expressed. “Wolves is a club I genuinely care about, and I’m eager to represent it with full dedication. Reuniting with Diogo Mendes adds extra motivation, especially given his character and personality. There’s also a unique bond through Luna Esports, which is Diogo Jota’s team and the club where he first gained recognition, making it significant for us.”
The group stage of the ePremier League is set for February 28 to March 1.
Wolves Esports is affiliated with Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club, which competes in the English Premier League and various domestic cup competitions like the FA Cup and EFL Cup. With a strong presence in China, Wolves Esports participates in several titles, including Call of Duty Mobile, Valorant, Honor of Kings, FIFA 4 Online, QQ Speed, Naraka: Bladepoint, and Identity V.
Luna Esports, previously known as Luna Galaxy and Diogo Jota Esports, competes in EA Sports FC, Dota 2, Rocket League, and PUBG.
