Lego and PlayStation Could Be Teaming Up for a New Console Collaboration

A Lego PlayStation set may soon be added to Lego’s lineup of console replicas, with a launch expected later this year. A reliable leaker known for accurately sharing details about prices and release dates recently revealed images of new Lego sets, with the PlayStation set taking the spotlight and anticipated to hit shelves in December.

This Lego PlayStation set is expected to retail for $159.99/€159.99 and will feature “at least” the console and one controller, constructed from 1,911 bricks. This makes it significantly larger than the Lego Game Boy set, which has 421 pieces, but smaller than the Atari 2600 and Nintendo Entertainment System sets, which contain 2,532 and 2,642 pieces, respectively.

Previous Lego console sets have included additional features, such as a TV showcasing Super Mario Bros. for the NES and game cartridges, along with a vignette on the Atari’s front panel. Even the small Lego Sega controller had a removable panel revealing a Sonic the Hedgehog vignette. While the details about extras or interactive elements for the PlayStation set are currently lacking, they haven’t been completely ruled out.

Lego has a history of collaborating with gaming franchises. They’ve previously teamed up with Sony Interactive Entertainment for a Tallneck figure from Horizon Forbidden West and the Lego Horizon Adventures game. Their partnership with Nintendo is also well-established, featuring not only console sets but also various figure sets, Mario Kart sets, and recently announced new Mario minifigures set to release in 2027.
