The original AirTag hits its lowest price yet.
Even though Apple launched a new AirTag in January, the first-generation model remains an excellent choice for those within the Apple ecosystem. Currently, it’s available for just $13.91, a discount of $15.09, making it the lowest price yet.
For iPhone users, the original AirTag offers precision that few other trackers can match, thanks to its ultra wideband (UWB) chip and access to Apple’s extensive Find My network. Unlike typical Bluetooth trackers that only provide a general location, the AirTag directs you straight to your lost item with on-screen arrows and distance indicators. Apple consistently rolls out software updates that enhance the recovery of lost or stolen items. For instance, you can share an AirTag’s location with up to five people, which is particularly useful when traveling with family. Additionally, you can temporarily share the location with airlines like American Airlines and Virgin Atlantic, making it easier to track down lost luggage. Plus, when the battery runs out after about a year, you can easily replace it instead of needing to buy a new device.
The second-generation model enhances an already fantastic tracker with an improved UWB chip that extends tracking range by up to 50 percent and a louder speaker. If you have an Apple Watch Series 9 or newer, you can also utilize Precision Finding directly from your watch, eliminating the need to open the Find My app on your phone. While these upgrades are great, if you just need a reliable tracker for your belongings this spring break, the original AirTag will still serve you exceptionally well.
