A Sequel to KPop Demon Hunters is on the Way!

Get ready for more K-pop, demon-slaying action, and epic hunts! The animated sensation KPop Demon Hunters is set to return with a sequel, bringing back the fictional Korean girl group HUNTR/X to deliver catchy pop tunes while taking down evil boy bands and other demonic foes.

Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans will reprise their roles as directors, marking their first project in a multiyear writing and directing partnership with Netflix.

Given that the original film was Netflix’s most popular release ever, achieved the widest theatrical rollout, and became the first to hit the box office No. 1, it’s no surprise that a sequel is on the way. The film was nominated for both Best Animated Film and Best Original Song at the Oscars, and the hit track “Golden” dominated charts in over 30 countries, including an impressive 18 weeks at No. 1 on the US charts last year. This sequel is just the beginning of what’s to come.

Kang expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “There’s so much more to this world we have built, and I’m excited to show you. This is only the beginning.”
