Netflix aims for global reach with K-Pop Demon Hunters’ Huntr/x and its ‘Golden’ release.

2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year for KPop Demon Hunters. The film recently took home two Oscars for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song, and a sequel has been officially announced. The enthusiasm for KPop Demon Hunters is so strong that Netflix is exploring the possibility of sending the film’s fictional K-pop group, Huntr/x, on a world tour.

According to reports, Netflix is looking to leverage the film’s success and its hit songs by negotiating with concert promoters to organize live performances featuring the music from the movie.

While the details of the tour are still somewhat unclear, it’s known that KPop Demon Hunters showcases two bands: Huntr/x, with performances by Ejae (Rumi), Audrey Nuna (Mira), and Rei Ami (Zoey), and the Saja Boys, whose members (Kevin Woo, Andrew Choi, Danny Chung, Neckwav, and SamUIL Lee) have yet to perform live in the same way as Huntr/x.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the plans, Netflix’s intentions are evident: the world tour is expected to take place next year, ahead of the sequel, KPop Demon Hunters 2, and will likely hit several major cities with venues capable of accommodating up to 20,000 fans.

Given the immense popularity of the film, its songs, and the talented vocalists behind Huntr/x, it’s hard to envision the tour not being a success. However, organizing a global tour is no small feat, especially since Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami had never performed live together before last year. So far, they have focused on “Golden,” a challenging track that required extensive vocal training to perform live.

With “Golden” demanding so much preparation, the trio would need to invest similar effort into other songs from Huntr/x, like “Takedown,” “How It’s Done,” and “What It Sounds Like.” While the band is certainly up for the challenge, the vocal performers have been in the spotlight since the film’s release, and if they are also working on new tracks for the sequel, that adds even more to their workload.

Fortunately, there may be a way to ease the pressure. Reports indicate that while Netflix has considered bringing the vocal performers of Huntr/x on tour, they are also open to the idea of incorporating virtual performers, such as holograms. A hybrid approach could provide a balanced solution, allowing fans to enjoy live music while giving the vocalists some much-needed downtime.

Huntr/x has already graced various stages, including appearances on popular shows and events. A KPop Demon Hunters world tour would be a significant step up, but if executed well, it could become a monumental entertainment experience.

KPop Demon Hunters is currently available for streaming.
