When you encounter the three turnstile mechanisms and the intricate mural in the Trembling Woods puzzle in Crimson Desert, it can feel overwhelming. This trial may seem clunky and confusing at first, but once you understand the mechanics, it’s quite straightforward.
The Trembling Woods Mysterious Energy is located just north of the Willow River, southeast of Hernand’s starting area. So, how do you tackle this puzzle? Here’s the breakdown.
Your mission in the Trembling Woods puzzle is to align the mural and the rings. To achieve this, you’ll need to rotate three mechanisms, each controlling a different aspect of the puzzle. The right mechanism adjusts the background mural, the middle one moves the large ring, and the left one manages the two medium-sized rings.
The leftmost turnstile lacks handles, so you’ll need to use a stab attack to jam your sword into it, allowing Kliff to push it. Execute this by pressing shift and the right mouse button (RB and triangle/Y on controller). Make sure to position yourself correctly to stab where the handles would be; you can’t wedge your sword in at any other angle, so it requires some precision.

Once the mural and rings are aligned, the puzzle is complete, and a small door will open beneath you, revealing an Abyss Cresset that grants you an Abyss Artifact. Don’t overlook this reward, or your efforts will have been in vain.
