PDP’s wireless guitar controller hits its lowest price ever!

The early 2020s were a bit bleak for Rock Band enthusiasts. It wasn’t until early 2024 that PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X players finally got a new, feature-rich guitar controller with the launch of the Riffmaster from PDP. Originally priced at $129.99 and later increasing to $149.99, you can now snag it for just $99.99 at major retailers like Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy, just in time for the upcoming Big Spring Sale. This deal, which has only been available once before, applies to both Xbox and PlayStation versions, as well as the latest Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 models.

Although Rock Band 4 was removed from digital stores last October, making it impossible to purchase along with its extensive library of downloadable songs, the Riffmaster is still compatible with Fortnite Festival, a free-to-play experience within Epic’s popular online multiplayer game. Plus, the Xbox version of the Riffmaster is compatible with Windows PCs, making it the ideal choice for those looking to dive into community-created games like Clone Hero.

In terms of features, the Riffmaster enhances your gaming experience with a built-in analog stick for easier navigation through system and game menus, conveniently located behind the fret buttons on the collapsible neck. This wireless controller also comes with a rechargeable battery that charges via USB-C, boasting an impressive battery life of up to 36 hours per charge. For those who prefer a more private audio experience, it includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for direct audio output.
