Cracking the Root’s End Puzzle in Crimson Desert: A Guide
You can unlock the Root’s End puzzle in Crimson Desert after finishing Abyss Without Balance and making your way along the skybridge and floating islands to the east. This aerial challenge kicks off with some straightforward jumps between platforms—nothing too complicated.
Next, you’ll need to navigate a moving block bridge that sways side to side. Patience is key here; wait for the blocks to align before crossing them one at a time. After that, you’ll teleport to another island where another moving bridge awaits, followed by platforms that will carry you through the sky.
Eventually, you’ll reach a dead end where the platforms won’t get you any closer to the massive island. At this point, you’ll need to take a leap and glide over. Congratulations, you’re now ready for the real puzzle.
Once you land on the main floating island at Root’s End, after the platforming segment, be sure to activate the Abyss Nexus fast travel point located on the north side by standing on it for a moment. Then, head up the stairs to the top of the island where the Root’s End puzzle begins.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to tackle the puzzle:
Start by heading to the pavilion in the center of the island and stand on the circular hatch. Crouch and use Force Palm to open the hatch, sending you down a chute filled with lasers.
Dodge the laser beams as you descend—they only inflict minor damage, and you can use your wings to slow your fall if needed. Aim to land on a large floating rock near a small blue crystal on the northeastern side. You’ll need to grab that blue crystal, which is out of reach from the ground.
If you miss, don’t worry: you can use Axiom Force to shift the boulders and create a staircase, raising the previous one each time to get closer.
Once you have the blue crystal using Axiom Force, bring it down to the ground and place it in the empty battery socket on the east side. When it’s close enough, it will start emitting leaves. At this point, use Force Palm to punch it into place—make sure to stand right on top of it. This will activate a teleporter to the top of the island.
When you reach the garden at the peak of Root’s End, grab the blue crystal again with Axiom Force and position it next to the empty socket on the post by the stairs. It will also create a cloud of leaves when correctly placed. Use Force Palm to push it into position, just like you did in the chute.
With the crystal secured, the camera will pull back to reveal a circular platform ahead. Stand on it, crouch, and use Force Palm once more to activate the pressure pad, which will trigger the pedestal at the top of the stairs and complete the Root’s End puzzle.
For your efforts, you’ll receive an Abyss Artifact and gain access to another sky-high challenge—the Precipice of Truth.
