This versatile crafting device lets you design custom shirts, phone cases, and molds.
xTool, known for its innovative laser cutting and engraving tools, has unveiled a new multi-function crafting machine called the WonderPress. While it’s not a complete all-in-one solution for launching an Etsy shop, the WonderPress is designed to transform designs from other machines, such as Cricuts or sublimation printers, into ready-to-sell products.
Currently available for preorder with a $10 deposit, the WonderPress comes with an early bird discount, reducing its price from $399 to $279. This machine serves as a replacement for devices like the Cricut EasyPress, utilizing heat and manual pressure to transfer iron-on or sublimation prints onto items like shirts, pillow covers, or tote bags. The default heat press module can exert up to 220 pounds of pressure on its flat surface and allows for automated temperature and timing adjustments through presets tailored for various materials.
xTool plans to offer two additional interchangeable modules for the WonderPress, though pricing details for these have yet to be revealed. The standout is the 3D Form Module, which employs heat and a vacuum to conform 2D printed designs to 3D objects. This module can be used to personalize smartphone cases and keycaps, and it also functions as a vacuum forming machine. By inserting an object, such as a 3D-printed item, the WonderPress can create molds or plastic duplicates.
Another option is the Craft Oven Module, which provides a safer, more compact alternative to using a kitchen oven for crafting. This module can shrink plastic, bend and mold acrylic, harden clay, or prepare direct-to-film (DTF) prints that require curing adhesive powder before application to fabrics. The oven module offers precise heat control and includes xTool’s three-layer composite H13 HEPA filter to capture particles and odors.
