Motorola’s Razr Ultra 2026 Could Be Slightly Thicker Than Its Predecessor

While many flagship smartphones have been trending towards a sleeker design in recent years, the upcoming 2026 Motorola Razr Ultra might take a different approach with a slightly bulkier build compared to its predecessor. Recent leaks from XpertPick and OnLeaks reveal that this new model will be about 0.1mm thicker when folded and 0.6mm thicker when unfolded than the 2025 version.

According to the leaked specifications, the dimensions for the Ultra 2026 are set at 171.3 x 74.1 x 7.8mm when unfolded and 88.0 x 74.1 x 15.8mm when folded. With the camera bump included, the thickness could reach up to 9.6mm when unfolded and 17.63mm when folded.

This added bulk might actually enhance the device’s overall performance. In her review of the Ultra 2025, a tech reviewer noted that it struggled to keep pace with other premium smartphones, especially due to its inconsistent camera performance. If Motorola has opted for a slightly thicker design for the Ultra 2026 to accommodate a camera upgrade or other enhancements, it could stand a better chance against similarly priced competitors in the market.
