This Week in Gaming: South of Midnight, Super Meat Boy 3D, and I Am Jesus Christ

I Am Jesus Christ is a first-person immersive sim that takes players through the life of the carpenter, from infancy to crucifixion. It’ll be interesting to see how quickly Steam users start adding Skatemods to this biblical journey.

This week is relatively quiet in terms of game releases. Super Meat Boy 3 has finally launched on consoles and PC, receiving mixed reviews that describe it as both an “infuriating” platformer and one that “begs to be conquered.” Last year’s acclaimed action-adventure title, South of Midnight, is making its way to PS5 and Switch 2 this week. Additionally, Warframe is set to receive its next-gen upgrade for Nintendo’s latest hardware.

With spring break upon us, it’s a perfect opportunity to tackle that gaming backlog or, in my case, continue grinding through Crimson Desert and wrapping up my faction contracts in Marathon. I’m also on the hunt for a third retro game to dive back into as a special treat. Right now, I’m considering finishing a playthrough of Vagrant Story that I started last spring.
