Mark Your Calendars: Xbox’s Major Game Showcase Set for June 7th
As March wraps up, gaming companies are gearing up for summer, and Xbox is leading the charge with an exciting announcement. They’ve revealed that their next major showcase will take place on June 7th, a familiar slot for Microsoft, as last year’s event was held on June 8th, aligning perfectly with the Summer Game Fest schedule.
This showcase is particularly significant for Xbox, especially after the recent leadership change with Phil Spencer stepping down and Asha Sharma stepping in as CEO. It’s a prime opportunity for the company to highlight the current state of the Xbox platform. The event will be livestreamed and will also feature an in-person component for fans. “In my first month, I heard clearly that our community values Xbox FanFest,” Sharma shared on X. “As part of the return of Xbox, we made the decision to bring it back to LA to recognize the players who’ve been with us over the years.”
This year’s showcase promises to deliver “first gameplay looks and huge news on upcoming titles from our first-party studios across the Xbox family, as well as our third-party partners around the globe – from the biggest franchises to soon-to-be indie darlings.” Additionally, there will be a separate event right after the showcase dedicated to Gears of War: E-Day, which is anticipated to launch later this year. Fans can also look forward to major titles like Fable and Halo: Campaign Evolved, both expected to make an appearance in 2026.
This will mark the third Xbox showcase of the year, following a Developer Direct in January and a recent livestream that focused on third-party games.
