Arc Raiders Introduces Exciting Quality-of-Life Update and a New Menacing Aerial Enemy
Since the launch of Arc Raiders over six months ago, players have been clamoring for one key quality-of-life enhancement: the ability to craft necessary resources directly from the crafting screen. While it might seem like a small tweak, anyone who’s attempted to create multiple weapons at once knows the frustration of constantly switching between crafting mechanical components and gun parts. This update promises to streamline the process, allowing for more time spent in the game world rather than in menus.
“When crafting, raiders will now be able to fulfill missing materials directly, reducing time jumping between tabs,” states the official blog. “When materials are missing, raiders will be presented with a list of available sources, letting you recycle, refine, or purchase in a single window.”
The Flashpoint update is set to be March’s major content release for Arc Raiders, and the revamped crafting system isn’t the only exciting addition. Players can expect to encounter the Vaporizer, a formidable flying enemy equipped with “devastating laser attacks and unique attack patterns.” This foe can typically be found near Assessors.
So, what exactly are Assessors? They appear to be a new type of Arc probe that isn’t hostile on their own but are always accompanied by a robust Arc patrol, offering some excellent loot. You can find them in Close Scrutiny, a new map condition categorized under Arc Operations.
Looting Assessors is the best way to acquire the Dolabra blueprint, a new energy-based shotgun featuring two firing modes: wide burst or focused funnel. Additionally, there’s the Canto, a medium ammo-based SMG, and the Surge Coil, a device that periodically emits an electrical charge, “shocking anything that drifts into its orbit.”
As anticipated, Shredders are departing from Stella Montis and will now appear on every other map during specific conditions. There’s also a new project called High Gain Antenna, along with some adjustments to Scrappy the rooster. The Arc Raiders Flashpoint update is scheduled to go live tomorrow at 4:30 a.m. EDT.
