Supergirl Races Against Time to Save Her Dog in New Trailer

The latest trailer for the upcoming Supergirl movie from Warner Bros. and DC gives us an exciting first look at Jason Momoa’s Lobo in action. It also reveals that the story centers on Kara/Supergirl, portrayed by Milly Alcock, as she races against time to save her super-powered dog, Krypto, who has been poisoned by villains.

Honestly, I was a bit skeptical about diving into yet another superhero film. But DC and WB have found a foolproof way to grab my attention and that of many others: make the hero’s mission about saving her beloved pup. Count me in for watching Kara unleash her powers to rescue Krypto and secure the cure he desperately needs before time runs out in three days. Check out the new trailer:

Kara and Krypto first appeared in last year’s fantastic Superman movie directed by James Gunn. Krypto quickly became a fan favorite, and now DC is putting the adorable pup in jeopardy in this new trailer. While I’d be surprised if Krypto doesn’t make it through, I know I’ll be emotional watching Kara fight to save her furry friend when Supergirl hits theaters on June 26.
