Transform Your Steam Library into Virtual Game Boxes for Your Bedroom!
Why feel bad about having a massive library of games you rarely touch when you could be spending that time organizing them instead? Just kidding, but Boxroom is a real game that lets you create a virtual bedroom that you can customize to your heart’s content. Each title in your collection gets its own box and packaging, and you have the freedom to choose how and where to display them.
With a wide array of customization options and furniture choices, Boxroom lets you personalize both your game collection and your living space. You can even upload your own textures or mods to make your library truly unique. Some games come with special editions and collectible figurines, adding to the fun.
The game boxes are packed with details, including manuals you can read and display options like floppy disks. If you enjoy geeking out over shelving or interior design, this game is right up your alley. And for those who really want to dive in, Boxroom also lets you launch your games directly from your virtual space. Beyond just games, you can tweak elements like bedding, posters, and CRT displays.
While there’s no official release date yet, Boxroom is set to hit early access sometime in 2026. The developers aim to keep the early access period under a year, with major updates rolling out each month. They’re also looking to the community for suggestions on what to add next—fingers crossed for a racing car bed! When the full version launches, it will be priced higher than the early access edition.
According to Boxroom’s Steam page, “The full game will have approximately six times the content (furnishings) than it does at launch, and a slew of new features and improvements.”
