KPop Demon Hunters Unveils New Duet with Rumi and Jinu in Latest Ad
It’s been nearly a year since *KPop Demon Hunters* burst onto the scene, captivating fans with its sleek animation and catchy tunes that quickly climbed the Billboard Hot 100. One standout track is “Free,” featuring Rumi (Ejae) and Jinu (Andrew Choi), who deliver a poignant ballad about escaping the pressures of expectations. This was their only duet—until now.
Recently, a new event titled “Battle For The Fans” was announced, bringing together the *KPop Demon Hunters* brand and a popular fast-food chain. This event pits Rumi, Zoey, and Mira of Huntr/x against the Saja Boys, encouraging fans to show their support by choosing between two special meal options.
Launched on March 31, the event is celebrated with two new commercials. One showcases the demon-slaying trio and their manager, Bobby, enjoying their meal, while the other features two older ladies from the Sony/Netflix animated film, who open a Happy Meal box to find the Saja Boys inside.
As each commercial wraps up, the iconic McDonald’s jingle, the five-note “ba da ba ba ba,” plays. This catchy tune has been a staple since its debut in 2003, featured in various global campaigns, including those for *KPop Demon Hunters*.
While this ad may not be the duet fans of Rumi and Jinu were hoping for, it’s a fun collaboration nonetheless. We’ll take what we can get while we wait for *KPop Demon Hunters 2* to arrive.
