Anticipating the Arrival of Trump Phone

Where’s the Trump phone? We’re going to keep the conversation going every week. As usual, we’ve reached out to inquire about the whereabouts of the Trump phone, but it’s been silent on that front.

Despite some recent hints of activity, another week has passed without any sign of the Trump T1 Phone. It’s been over nine months since its announcement last June, and it continues to miss its shipping deadlines. That’s enough time for a whole human baby to be born! It’s also equivalent to three (RIP) Samsung Galaxy Z TriFolds. This got me thinking about what other products and services have come and gone while we’ve been waiting for the T1. Here’s a partial list:

* The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold was announced, launched, and then discontinued.
* OpenAI rolled out Sora 2 along with its dedicated social video app, claimed it was thriving, and then pulled the plug when investors got nervous about competition with Claude.
* Warner Bros. Discovery put itself on the market, Netflix made a move to buy it, and then, just kidding, it was actually sold to Paramount.
* Another live-service game launched and quickly faded away.
* We survived the Labubu craze.

This isn’t a complete rundown of everything that’s happened, but it certainly puts things into perspective. Entire product life cycles have unfolded while we’ve been waiting for this phone! Let me know what you’d add to the list in the comments, and if you’ve welcomed a new human into the world during this time, I definitely want to hear about it.
