Amazon’s AI Price Tracker Now Displays a Full Year of Historical Data

Amazon has introduced a handy price tracking feature that lets you monitor how a product’s price has fluctuated over the past year. To access this tool, simply open the Amazon app and tap the “Price history” button next to the item’s price, or you can ask Amazon’s AI assistant, Rufus, for the details.

This update comes just in time for Amazon’s annual Prime Day event, which has been mentioned in a lawsuit regarding alleged price-fixing practices. The California Attorney General has accused Amazon of pressuring other retailers to increase their prices in the lead-up to this major sales event. The lawsuit claims that Amazon has coerced vendors into raising prices at competing stores or even removing their products entirely.

The enhanced price tracking tool is now available in the US, UK, and India. Initially launched in 2024, the built-in tracker allowed users to view price changes over 30 and 90 days, but now it offers a full year of price history. Additionally, you can still utilize third-party tools like CamelCamelCamel and Keepa for tracking product prices on the platform.
