Critical Role Campaign 4 Hits Key Milestone on May 21

Campaign 4 of Critical Role has been an exciting journey since its launch on October 2 last year. Kicking off with a four-episode Overture that introduced the cast, characters, and the unique world of Aramán—distinct from the previous campaign’s Exandria—the 13-player cast divided into three groups: Soldiers, Seekers, and Schemers.

In recent months, these groups have ventured down their own paths, but a recent update on Critical Role’s streaming app indicates they will be coming together later this month.

The latest episode, “Good Tidings,” focused on the Schemers as they unraveled a dark conspiracy involving the Sundered Houses and King Augustus of Timmony during the Archanade gala. Episode 25 is set to drop on May 7, promising to reveal what comes next. However, it also marks the conclusion of the Schemers’ current storyline.

“As our fated conspirators converge and the curtain rises, the far-flung adventurers of Aramán will reunite as their saga reaches its first crescendo starting May 21,” shared Critical Role on the app. Since each group’s arc wraps up with a one-week hiatus, May 14 will likely be a week without a new Campaign 4 episode.

The groups first split in November 2025, and while fans have experienced some ups and downs adjusting to the West Marches-style format, anticipation is building for the upcoming reunion. Each group has been uncovering crucial details about the oppressive Sundered Houses, their dubious interactions, and the effects on the innocent inhabitants of Aramán. With a reunion on the horizon, what will the Sundered Houses do next, and will the three groups be ready to confront them? We’ll have to wait until May 21 to find out.

In other news, Critical Role is finally rolling out a feature that Beacon members have been eagerly awaiting since the app’s launch two years ago: Beacon is set to launch on Smart TVs. While there’s no specific timeline for when fans can expect to enjoy Critical Role in their living rooms via Beacon, the company has confirmed that it is “developing dedicated apps for major platforms” at “no additional cost” to Beacon membership.

Thanks, Critical Role, it’s about time!
