You can now reserve the Steam Controller.

After quickly selling out on May 4th, Valve has introduced a reservation system for the Steam Controller, making it easier for gamers to secure one without too much trouble. While you might not receive it immediately, you can now reserve the $99 controller with less hassle.

If your Steam account is in good standing and you’ve made a purchase before April 27th of this year, you’re eligible to reserve a controller. This system essentially places you in line for future restocks. When a controller becomes available, you’ll receive an email notification to complete your purchase. You’ll have 72 hours to buy your Steam Controller before it’s offered to the next person in line.

Before the launch, Valve mentioned it had a substantial supply ready, but the actual demand exceeded expectations. While stock was insufficient to meet the initial rush, you can now join the queue instead of just hoping to snag one during a restock.
