VisionQuest Sets Release Date, Concluding the WandaVision Trilogy
Marvel’s VisionQuest, the concluding chapter of the Wanda/Vision saga, has officially locked in its release date. The series is set to debut on Disney Plus on October 14, wrapping up the narrative that began with WandaVision in 2021 and continued with Agatha All Along in 2024.
In VisionQuest, Paul Bettany will reprise his role as Vision, specifically the White Vision variant. This android, initially created by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner in Avengers: Age of Ultron, developed a romantic bond with Wanda Maximoff (played by Elizabeth Olsen), met his demise in Avengers: Infinity War, and was later brought back to life through the Scarlet Witch’s reality-altering abilities. White Vision, the colorless iteration of the character, was resurrected by SWORD as a weapon, eventually regained his memories, and has since gone into hiding. It’s been a complex journey for (White) Vision in the MCU, and fans are eager to see what he’s been up to lately.
The cast of VisionQuest features a mix of familiar and new faces, including James Spader returning as the menacing robot Ultron. Ruaridh Mollica is back as Tommy Maximoff (aka Thomas Shepherd/Speed), and Faran Tahir reprises his role as Raza from the original Iron Man film. They will be joined by Todd Stashwick as the bounty hunter Paladin, T’Nia Miller as Jocasta, Emily Hampshire as EDITH, Orla Brady as FRIDAY, Henry Lewis as DUM-E, Jonathan Sayer as U, and James D’Arcy as JARVIS.
Terry Matalas, known for his work on Star Trek: Picard, is reportedly the showrunner for the series.
With VisionQuest still five months away, Marvel enthusiasts can catch up on the storyline by revisiting WandaVision, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Agatha All Along, all available for streaming on Disney Plus. Additionally, there’s a useful primer on White Vision and the original Vision Quest storyline from the West Coast Avengers comics published in 1985.
The ongoing intrigue surrounding Marvel Studios’ interconnected TV series continues to build anticipation.
