Forza Horizon 6 Release Dates by Region Revealed

After years of fan anticipation, Forza Horizon 6 is finally set to take us to Japan, featuring a new Horizon Festival that promises to immerse players in street racing, drifting, and kei trucks. However, you’ll need to hold tight a little longer for the official launch time and release date.

There are two key dates to keep in mind: one for those who opt for the $120 Premium edition, which grants early access, and another for the standard release available to everyone else.

Additionally, the launch times differ between console and PC, including the Xbox App on PC, adding a layer of complexity to the release.

Forza Horizon 6 is set to launch on Tuesday, May 19, with staggered times for PC and console players. On Xbox or the Xbox App on PC, it goes live at 12:01 AM local time, except for players in the US Pacific time zone, where it will be 9:01 PM PDT. On Steam, the game will be available globally at 4:01 AM UTC, translating to various times around the world.

The game will also be making its way to PS5 later this year, although a specific release date from Microsoft is still pending.

As previously mentioned, those who purchase the Premium edition of Forza Horizon 6 will enjoy four days of early access starting Friday, May 15. It’s important to note that this early access is exclusive to the $120 edition, not the $100 Deluxe version. Premium edition buyers will also gain access to the complete car list thanks to included DLC packs.

Similar to the full launch, the early access times vary by platform. Xbox and Xbox App users will see the game unlock at 12:01 AM local time, while US Pacific players will have to wait until 9:01 PM PDT. Steam users will need to wait for the global release at 4:01 AM UTC, which corresponds to different times worldwide.

Preloads for Forza Horizon 6 are now available on both PC and Xbox, requiring 160 GB on PC and at least 135 GB on Xbox. It’s a relief to get that hefty download done before the race begins.

PC players, whether using Steam or the Xbox App, must ensure their Gaming Services are updated to play the game. If you’ve ever accessed the Microsoft Store, you know it can be a bit finicky, so it’s wise to handle those updates ahead of time.
