KPop Demon Hunters Announces Concert Tour, Performer Lineup Still Under Wraps
Netflix has revealed plans for a worldwide concert tour based on its hit animated film, KPop Demon Hunters. This event is touted as “a live experience that will bring elements of the two-time Oscar-winning film to life in spectacular ways.” The streaming giant is teaming up with a major concert promoter for this venture.
However, details about the tour remain sparse. There’s no word yet on the schedule, ticket sales, or the specific locations that will be included in the tour.
Fans are left wondering who will take the stage. Many might expect to see the voices behind Huntr/x — Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami — who have recently performed songs like “Golden” at high-profile events. Yet, this isn’t confirmed.
A report indicated that during the early discussions about the tour, Netflix was exploring the possibility of featuring virtual performers, such as holograms. While the idea of including the trio was still on the table, it seemed unlikely they would be present at every show. The tour was initially aimed for a 2027 launch.
Ejae, Nuna, and Ami had not performed together prior to promoting the film, and Ejae has mentioned the physical challenges of singing “Golden.” Meanwhile, talent agency WME has suggested an unofficial tour with the trio if they aren’t part of Netflix’s plans.
Regardless, Ejae, as a songwriter for “Golden” and other tracks from the film, will benefit financially either way. Additionally, the directors of KPop Demon Hunters, Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, will be consulted for the tour, thanks to their recent lucrative sequel deal with Netflix.
More information about the tour, including cities, dates, and ticket details, is expected to be released later this year. Fans can sign up for updates on the official tour website.
