Super Mario Galaxy Movie Set to Release on Digital Platforms Next Week

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set to hit digital platforms at lightning speed, just a month and a half after its theatrical debut in April. Fans can grab their digital copies starting May 19.

The announcement reveals that these digital versions will include “over one hour of exclusive behind-the-scenes bonus content featuring your favorite characters,” along with several engaging featurettes.

For those who prefer a physical copy, the film will be available on Blu-ray starting June 16. While it hasn’t quite matched the box office success of its predecessor, which grossed over a billion dollars in 2023, the Galaxy movie has still raked in over $942 million, making it the top earner of 2026 by a significant margin. Illumination and Nintendo are already planning more films within their animated Nintendo universe, with the next installment scheduled for release in 2028.
