Kylie Jenner Breaks Down The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild with Surprising Accuracy
Every now and then, we get a glimpse that beneath all the wealth and the glitz, even the rich can relate to us in some way. They hop onto quirky podcasts and share amusing thoughts that remind us they’re human, despite their ability to use their fortunes for good instead of just hoarding it. In a recent episode of a podcast, socialite and entrepreneur Kylie Jenner made an appearance, and while she covered a range of topics during the hour-long chat, she took a moment to share her thoughts on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild with host Jake Shane, and she really captured the essence of the game.
For those who might not be up to speed with the Kardashians, Kylie is the youngest member of the famous family. She runs a cosmetics line, a clothing brand, and has recently ventured into acting with a role in Charli XCX’s mockumentary film, all of which is featured in the reality series currently streaming. Amidst her busy schedule, she’s also diving into the world of Hyrule in Breath of the Wild, declaring it “one of the best games ever.”
When Shane prompts her about the game’s premise, Jenner playfully admits she might sound “such a nerd,” but then dives into a quick summary. Although she forgets the names of the Divine Beasts and gets sidetracked by someone off-screen misnaming Ganon as “Gandorf,” she still manages to convey much of the game’s rich, post-apocalyptic narrative, even as someone who’s still “kind of new” to the franchise.
“So, 100 years before you start playing, there was this huge war,” Jenner explains. “The world is like, you know… in shambles. Everything is messed up. Then, you jump in as Link, trying to save the world. And Princess Zelda, even though it’s been 100 years, she’s still hanging in there in the castle. You want to reach Princess Zelda. Were they in love? I don’t know. There are a bunch of flashbacks. It’s so intricate—you could spend days on that game; I’ve played for hours and hours.”
At the time of the recording, Jenner had already taken down one of the Divine Beasts and was on her way to tackle the next one, sharing that she’s invested countless hours into the game. Go, Kylie, go! You’re doing fantastic!
