Free Batman Game and Popular RPG Available for PC Gamers This Week Only

While we typically get a heads-up about the free games on the Epic Games Store a week in advance, this week’s offerings were a surprise, reminiscent of the holiday season reveals. And the surprises are definitely worth it—two fantastic PC games are up for grabs. You can now claim Telltale’s Batman series along with a popular tabletop RPG.

The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition bundles both seasons of Telltale’s narrative-driven Batman saga, including Batman: The Telltale Series and Batman: The Enemy Within. With Troy Baker voicing the Dark Knight, you’ll delve into Bruce Wayne’s “fractured psyche” while tackling the corruption that grips Gotham City. The sequel, The Enemy Within, introduces iconic villains like the Riddler and Harley Quinn. Both titles feature a Shadows Mode that offers remastered visuals, giving them a unique look reminiscent of black-and-white games with splashes of color. Players have responded positively, with thousands of “Very Positive” reviews on Steam for both games.

Also available is Sunderfolk, a tactical RPG that captures the essence of a tabletop game night in a digital format. You can enjoy it in online multiplayer or couch co-op, using players’ phones as controllers. Described as a tale of good versus evil filled with fantasy, animals, and magic, Sunderfolk is designed for a group to embark on chaotic adventures. It has garnered over 1,600 “Very Positive” reviews on Steam, reflecting its appeal.

If either The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition or Sunderfolk piques your interest, just log in to the Epic Games Store to claim them. These games will be free until Thursday, May 21, at 11 a.m. EDT.

Any game that lets me name a quest item “ass” is 10/10.
