First Trailer Unveiled for Upcoming Superman Adventure in the DC Universe

The upcoming season of My Adventures with Superman, which takes a fresh, anime-inspired approach to the iconic DC hero, is set to launch next month. In anticipation of the premiere, an outlet has released an extended preview showcasing a busy Superman, the cyborg adversary he will face, and the introduction of Superboy.

This third season will adapt the classic ’90s arc, Reign of the Supermen, where several Superman-like figures attempt to fill the hero’s shoes following his demise at the hands of Doomsday. (Rest assured, Superman is alive and kicking in My Adventures with Superman.) The villainous Cyborg Superman, who first appeared in Reign of the Supermen, has since become a staple antagonist in the comics and various DC media.

In this season, Superboy, voiced by Darren Criss, will join the action. As a clone of Superman, he’s depicted battling Cyborg Superman while also embodying the typical traits of an annoying teenager in the trailer. Supergirl, who played a significant role in season 2, will also return to help combat Cyborg Superman, as the heroes will need all the support they can get.

My Adventures with Superman season 3 is set to premiere on June 13 and will be available for streaming on HBO Max the following day. Additionally, fans can look forward to a cameo from Green Lantern Jessica Cruz, likely teasing her own spin-off series, My Adventures with Green Lantern, which was announced last year but currently lacks a release date.
