Trump RPG Gets Satirical Arcade Cabinets in Washington D.C.
If the Trump administration continues to leverage video games for its propaganda, it seems only fitting that gamers would respond in kind by poking fun at him. Recently, arcade cabinets featuring a satirical RPG titled *Operation Epic Furious: Strait To Hell* have popped up in Washington D.C. In this game, players can step into Trump’s shoes, engaging in activities like ordering Diet Coke, methodically burning the Epstein Files, or battling quirky foes like a “low flow showerhead” in Iran.
Developed by a mysterious creator known as Secret Handshake, this game is available for play at one of the arcade cabinets located at the National Mall. For those who prefer to stay at home, the game can also be accessed through a browser on the Secret Handshake website, allowing players to experience a humorous take on the absurdities of the Trump administration.
Personally, I find it challenging to view Trump’s actions as mere fodder for humor, especially given the troubling nature of his administration during his time in office. I gave the game a shot and snapped a screenshot, but the chip tune patriotic music quickly turned me off; it just doesn’t resonate with me anymore.
That said, some players who have delved deeper into the game claim it’s actually a solid RPG on a systemic level. Here’s hoping these enigmatic developers are cooking up something original and genuinely exciting in the future.
