PlayStation Plus Short Subscription Prices Set to Increase

Sony is raising the prices for one-month and three-month PlayStation Plus subscriptions in select regions, citing ongoing market conditions. Starting May 20th, the new pricing will be $10.99 USD / €9.99 EUR / £7.99 GBP for one-month subscriptions and $27.99 USD / €27.99 EUR / £21.99 GBP for three-month subscriptions.

In the US, this means a $1 increase for the one-month Essential tier and a $3 increase for the three-month Essential tier. It’s still uncertain whether other PlayStation Plus tiers will also see price adjustments. Sony has not provided a comment on this matter.

Current subscribers will maintain their existing prices unless they change their subscription tier or allow their subscription to expire, with the exception of users in Turkey and India, as noted by Sony.

These price hikes for PlayStation Plus come on the heels of two recent increases for PS5 consoles, which Sony attributed to ongoing pressures in the global economic landscape.
