Grab the compact Roam 2 speaker from Sonos at a 25% discount this Memorial Day!

If your summer plans include outdoor adventures, whether hiking or chilling at a pool party, a solid portable Bluetooth speaker can enhance the experience. The new Sonos Roam is designed for these occasions, and it’s currently available for $134, a $45 discount, making it the best price we’ve seen for Memorial Day.

The second-generation Roam improves on the original’s impressive features. One of the standout upgrades is its ease of use right out of the box. Unlike the first version, which required setup via the Sonos app over Wi-Fi before you could start enjoying music, the new model allows for immediate Bluetooth pairing. It also includes a dedicated Bluetooth pairing button on the back, simplifying connections to various devices compared to the original’s single multi-use button.

In terms of design, the Sonos Roam 2 remains similar to its predecessor. It stands at 6.61 inches tall and is about the size of a small water bottle, making it easy to pack in a backpack. With an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, it can handle outdoor conditions and offers up to 10 hours of playtime on a single charge—perfect for a day at the pool or park.

Sound quality is another highlight. The second-gen model delivers the same clear audio as the original, featuring Sonos’s Trueplay technology that automatically adjusts sound based on your environment. You can seamlessly switch between the Roam 2 and other Sonos speakers or stream audio from a Bluetooth device across your Sonos system. While its compact size means it won’t deliver the deep bass of a dedicated party speaker, you can pair it with another Roam over Wi-Fi for a fuller stereo sound.
