Grand Theft Auto 6 Release Remains On Schedule

This week kicked off with a wave of excitement among the GTA community, as many were convinced that a new trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 was on the horizon. While that didn’t materialize, the head of Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, has confirmed that GTA 6 is set to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on November 19. That’s right—no more delays!

In a statement prior to today’s earnings call, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick shared, “Our Fiscal 2026 performance was exceptional and exceeded our initial expectations at every label. We believe Fiscal 2027 will establish new record levels of operating performance driven by the November 19 launch of Grand Theft Auto 6, along with strong execution across our portfolio. We expect to sustain this higher level of scale, generate strong cash flows, and deliver long-term shareholder value as we release our robust development pipeline, continue to optimize our live services, and capitalize on new business opportunities.”

With less than six months until launch, many questions remain about this highly anticipated title. Despite years of speculation, the confirmed pricing for GTA 6 is still under wraps, and details about its online features are scarce. An April 2026 hack revealed that Rockstar continues to rake in around $1 million daily from GTA Online, suggesting that an online component for GTA 6 is likely.

On the official side, Rockstar has released two trailers—one in December 2023 and another in May 2025. However, a hacker leaked over 90 videos showcasing development footage back in September 2022. Fans are eagerly awaiting news of a third trailer or a more detailed showcase for GTA 6, but that remains uncertain.

With rumors swirling about a new trailer dropping soon, players are curious about how much customization will be available for the protagonists in GTA 6.
