Expect the next GTA 6 trailer to arrive this summer.

If you’re waking up each day and eagerly refreshing YouTube for the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer, it might be time to take a breather. According to Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, Rockstar Games won’t ramp up the marketing for Grand Theft Auto 6 until summer. This likely includes the next major trailer for one of the year’s most anticipated titles.

If Zelnick and Rockstar are sticking to the official start of summer, that kicks off on June 21—just a month away—with the summer solstice. The season wraps up on September 22, and we expect the GTA 6 marketing machine to be in full swing by then. So, dedicated GTA fans might want to channel their excitement into other activities until summer officially rolls around.

These comments come amidst ongoing speculation that the new Grand Theft Auto could be priced at $100.

So far, Rockstar has dropped two trailers for GTA 6: the first in December 2023 and the second in May 2025. With delays and a lack of new information, fans have been trying to guess when Rockstar will unveil trailer 3. One potential moment was the recent Take-Two Interactive earnings call, but that didn’t happen. Instead, during that investor-focused event, Zelnick dismissed rumors about pre-orders for GTA 6 launching anytime soon and didn’t provide specific details on pricing or Grand Theft Auto 6 Online. He did mention that we should expect a significant marketing push for GTA 6 during the warmer months, which fits perfectly with the game’s Florida-inspired setting.

In the meantime, gamers have plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks, including a new PlayStation State of Play on June 2, the Summer Game Fest showcase hosted by Geoff Keighley on June 5, and the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X on November 19. Until then, you might want to rewatch the second GTA 6 trailer to catch anything you might have missed in your first hundred viewings.
