Destiny 2 arrives in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog ahead of its final farewell.

Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Days of Play event kicks off on Wednesday, running for two weeks and featuring discounts on PlayStation games and accessories, new game trials, PlayStation Tournaments, and more.

As part of this event, Sony has revealed that the Destiny 2: Legacy Collection will be added to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on June 9 for Premium and Extra subscribers. This collection includes Destiny 2 along with several weapon packs (Beyond Light, Shadowkeep, Forsaken) and major expansions like The Witch Queen, Nightfall, and The Final Shape.

Destiny 2 will join the Game Catalog on the same day its final update is released. On May 21, Bungie announced it would cease active development on the live-service looter shooter. “While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2,” Bungie stated.

According to a report, Bungie is planning to implement “a significant number of layoffs” as it determines the studio’s future direction. Earlier this year, Bungie launched the extraction shooter Marathon, which received a positive response but has struggled to attract a large player base.

The PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, available to subscribers of the higher tiers beyond Essential, offers a selection of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games. This service is Sony’s answer to Xbox Game Pass, providing hundreds of games for subscribers to download and explore. The remainder of June’s Game Catalog lineup will be revealed next month.

Additionally, this month’s PS Plus Essential games are still available for download, including EA Sports FC 26, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Nine Sols.

The studio is shifting its focus to Marathon.
