PC gamers can grab two top-rated tactical games for free this week only!

While we typically get a heads-up about the free games on the Epic Games Store a week in advance, the last few weeks have kept us guessing, and this week is no exception. Once the surprise titles were unveiled, players were treated to two fantastic, highly-rated PC games: Rogue Waters and Songs of Conquest, both available for a limited time at no cost.

If you’re looking for a pirate-themed adventure while waiting for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Rogue Waters is a great pick. This turn-based roguelike lets you step into the shoes of a pirate captain on a quest for vengeance, where you’ll recruit fellow pirates for your daring escapades. Engage in battles on land, aboard your ship, and in intense naval skirmishes.

This week also features another tactical gem, Songs of Conquest. In this game, you lead a cadre of powerful mages through epic quests and strategic warfare, utilizing turn-based, magic-infused combat. You can dive into the action solo or team up with friends in co-op multiplayer. Launched in May 2024, Songs of Conquest has already garnered around 12,000 “Very Positive” reviews from players on Steam.

If either Rogue Waters or Songs of Conquest piques your interest, simply log in to the Epic Games Store to claim them. These titles will be free until Thursday, June 11 at 11 a.m. EDT.

And there’s even more to stream, like Hollow Knight.
