Belkin’s latest Joy-Con grips enhance battery life for the Switch 2.
Belkin has rolled out a range of accessories for the Switch 2, primarily focused on enhancing protection and power for Nintendo’s latest handheld. Among these is the Charging Case Pro, which serves both functions simultaneously. Another standout is the new Charging Grip, designed to extend your gaming sessions by an additional three to four hours thanks to its built-in 10,000mAh battery pack. This grip also enhances comfort with its robust nonslip grips for the Joy-Con controllers.
The Charging Grip is available in black, lilac, and olive green for $99.99 directly from Belkin’s online store. The magnetic 10,000mAh battery attaches to the back of the Switch 2, but since the device doesn’t natively support magnetic accessories, you’ll need to use the included protective case for attachment. Additionally, the Switch 2 lacks wireless charging capabilities, so the battery connects via a short integrated USB-C cable that provides 30W of power through the console’s top USB-C port. A small display on the battery indicates the remaining charge.
The protective case allows full access to the Switch 2’s kickstand, and Belkin assures that the console can still fit into the TV dock with the case on, provided the battery is removed. The Joy-Con grips can be utilized whether the controllers are attached to the Switch 2 or detached.
