Claim Your Free House and Bed Early in Gothic Remake!

When you first step into the Old Camp in Gothic Remake, you’ll probably want to kill some time. If you’re anything like me, your first day was spent wandering around, and by the time you made it to the main camp, the sun was setting and all the NPCs were already tucked in for the night.

You might have attempted to catch some Z’s in a bed, only to be abruptly awakened by the owner, who’s not too thrilled about you snoozing in their space. The good news is that there’s a bed and a cozy shack waiting just for you in the Old Camp, and I’ll guide you on how to find them.

In Gothic, you can pass the time by sleeping, but remember, it has to be a bed that you own. If you try to crash in someone else’s bed (indicated by a red sleep icon), you’ll be disturbed shortly after falling asleep, and the owner won’t be happy about it.

Fortunately, as soon as you arrive in the Old Camp, you can snag a free shack and bed. Check out the video above for directions.

This shack is yours now, completely free! You can also find its location on the map above, relative to the north entrance. Don’t forget to check the chest inside for the Forgotten Recipe quest.

Additionally, there are other unoccupied beds scattered throughout the game. If you venture to the Swamp Camp, there’s a hut at the very top that you can access by climbing ladders and walkways. This spot will serve as a resting place if you decide to join that faction or visit during a quest.
