Completing Snaf’s Recipe in Gothic Remake: A Step-by-Step Guide

As you explore the iconic Old Camp in Gothic Remake, you’ll soon encounter Snaf, the local cook. He’ll set you on a quest called Snaf’s Recipe, where you’ll need to hunt down meatbugs and hellcap mushrooms for his special ragout. He insists it’s tastier than it sounds, but I’m a bit skeptical.

Snaf provides some guidance on where to find these ingredients, which is noted in your journal, but navigating the area can be tricky if you’re still getting your bearings. Fortunately, having a map of both the Colony and the Old Camp can be a real lifesaver.

For his ragout, Snaf requests three bugmeat and five hellcaps. Here’s where I suggest you search:

Once you gather the ingredients and return to Snaf, he’ll whip up a serving of his meatbug ragout—supposedly delicious. More importantly, you’ll earn 100 XP, gain the recipe to make it yourself, and you can chat with Snaf daily for free food. Just keep in mind that this quest doesn’t contribute to the main Casting Shadows quest, so you’ll still have more tasks to tackle in the Old Camp.
