James Bond’s Next Mission in 007 First Light is on the Horizon

007 First Light has barely hit the shelves for two weeks, and already there’s exciting news about upcoming DLC. Announced during Summer Game Fest, this new mission will feature the pirate king Bawma, portrayed by the talented Lenny Kravitz.

Bawma made a brief appearance in the main game, leaving fans speculating about his role as a potential adversary for Bond. Instead, he only appeared in one level, serving as the ruler of Aleph, a notorious hideout for criminals and a certain MI6 defector.

In the forthcoming DLC, players will venture to Aleph to assist Bawma, who has specifically requested Bond’s help. While the teaser is light on details, it hints that the mission may involve Bawma’s long-lost sister, Harmony, whose whereabouts MI6 is aware of.

Our experience with James Bond’s origin story has been a blast. “007 First Light is an incredibly shiny, well-polished game that truly lives up to its name,” we noted in our review.

The game has received critical acclaim and is already being talked about as a contender for game of the year. It’s currently available on PlayStation, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X, with a release for Nintendo Switch 2 planned for later this year.

No specific release date for the Bawma DLC has been announced, other than it will arrive “later this year.”

Perhaps every game should kick off like an action movie?
