Your Guide to Watching the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase and What to Anticipate

Microsoft’s annual Xbox Games Showcase is set to stream live on Sunday, June 7, promising exciting first gameplay reveals and major updates on upcoming titles from Xbox Game Studios and various third-party partners, ranging from blockbuster franchises to soon-to-be indie hits. Following the showcase, there will be a deep dive into Gears of War: E-Day, the latest installment from The Coalition.

This showcase marks the first under the leadership of Asha Sharma, the new CEO of Microsoft Gaming, who succeeded Phil Spencer in February. However, don’t expect any significant news regarding the next-gen Xbox, Project Helix, as chief content officer Matt Booty has indicated it won’t be a focal point at this year’s event.

Instead, fans can look forward to updates on previously announced titles like Halo: Campaign Evolved, Fable, Clockwork Revolution, and State of Decay 3, along with ongoing and recently released games such as Forza Horizon 6, Sea of Thieves, and Minecraft. There are also expectations for news on Microsoft-owned titles from Bethesda Softworks (like Fallout 76) and Activision Blizzard (including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Overwatch). Additionally, rumors suggest that the showcase may feature some third-party surprises, including Persona 6 and Persona 4 Revival.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers might also receive some exciting announcements as Sharma aims to boost interest in the subscription service. There’s even speculation about potential remasters of Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 will stream live on Sunday, June 7, starting at 10 a.m. PDT / 1 p.m. EDT / 7 p.m. CEST, available on Xbox’s YouTube and Twitch channels.

After the main event, the Gears of War: E-Day Direct will take fans deeper into the story, providing new details, gameplay, and insights into the highly anticipated origin tale of the Gears of War saga. There’s also hope for an update on the long-awaited Gears of War movie, which was first announced at the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase.

The Gears of War-focused segment will kick off right after the Xbox Games Showcase, though Microsoft has yet to disclose the total runtime for the showcase.
