Catch Xbox’s Most Anticipated Summer Gaming Showcase Live Here!
All eyes are on the Xbox June Showcase, set to kick off in less than an hour. The excitement is fueled by anticipated game reveals and in-depth looks at upcoming titles, especially as the console celebrates its 25th anniversary. Another key point of interest is how Microsoft will approach first-party exclusivity moving forward. Will Gears of War: E-Day make its way to PlayStation 5? Or has the company decided to pull that port at the last moment?
According to host Jeff Grubb during last night’s livestream, it seems the latter may have occurred. Despite Gears being rated for PS5 and a placeholder listing popping up on Walmart’s site, the latest buzz suggests that new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma might have opted for a last-minute change to give loyal fans a long-awaited victory.
You can catch the full Xbox 2026 summer showcase starting at 1:00 p.m. ET on June 7 below:
But it’s not just exclusivity and first-party titles that are on the agenda. These showcases are also known for unveiling exclusive content for major third-party games. One highly anticipated reveal that has been hinted at in recent leaks is Persona 6. Xbox has been strengthening its relationship with Sega, and Atlus’ next RPG is expected to make an appearance during today’s event.
We can also expect plenty of news regarding new releases for the latter half of the year coming to Game Pass, along with updates on first-party games that have been quiet for a while. Titles like State of Decay 3 from Undead Labs and my personal most anticipated Xbox game, Clockwork Revolution from inXile Entertainment, are likely to be featured. This event marks Sharma’s debut on the Summer Game Fest circuit, and it’s the first showcase in years not led by her predecessor, Phil Spencer.
